He Called Me Home

The LORD called me home on that faithful day
I wasnt sure whether to go or to stay
My spirit rose high above the clouds
My eyes took in all they could allow
I met St. Peter at the gate
He said, My son,
this is your fate.
He opened the gates and I went inside
There stood Jesus by my side.
We walked, talked and discussed many things.
Then I heard the angels sing
Now I look down below
And pray for family and friends below
I hope and pray they will change their ways
So they can come home to stay.
