Rebecca B. Sizer
Rebecca Ann (Blackwell) Sizer, 55, of Broadway passed away February 14, 2011 at Avante at Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Sizer was born April 18, 1955 in Staunton, a daughter of Frank Eugene and Hallie Virginia (Shuey) Blackwell Agnor.
Rebecca had worked for Merck in Elkton and Friendship Industries in Harrisonburg. She was a member of the Sunset Drive United Methodist Church in Broadway and volunteered at the Salvation Army in Harrisonburg. She was presented with the honor of Volunteer of the year for the Special Olympics in 2010.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Sizer was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Blackwell.
Survivors include a son, Mark W. Sizer and a daughter, Tami L. Sizer both of Harrisonburg, VA; two brothers, Will Blackwell of Columbia, SC and Wally Blackwell of Stuarts Draft; two sisters, Juanita Orebaugh of Waynesboro and Debra Fox of Stuarts Draft; and a special great nephew, Kiam Lathan Fox.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 in Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence of her sisters, Debra Fox, 42 Manor Road, Stuarts Draft and Juanita Orebaugh, 201 Holland Circle, Waynesboro.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dr. Robert Throckmorton.
Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie L. Cox, R. W. Rohrer, Andrew Collins, Mike Hawkins, Mike Malloy, Eric Hoover, John Sellers and Bill Gutschmibt.
It is suggested those so desiring to make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1920 H Medical Avenue, Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
