Raymond Edward Ray, Jr. Rankin, Jr., 58, of White Oak Gap Road, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Rankin was born December 22, 1955 in Staunton, a son of Estelle Shirley (Glenn) Rankin and the late Raymond Edward Rankin, Sr.
Ray was a member of Mint Spring United Methodist Church. He graduated from Riverheads High School in 1974 and was employed by Mohawk as a boiler tech. Ray enjoyed playing golf.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Staunton, is a brother, Michael D. Rankin of Staunton; a god-son, Brett Wright of Waynesboro; two aunts, Betty Hutchens and Elda Rankin both of Staunton; and a number of cousins.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Coffman Funeral and Crematory.
A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro by Pastor Terry L. Clark.
