Raymond Charles "Charlie" Cook, 71, widower of Betty (Hevener) Cook of Verona, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

Mr. Cook was born in Rockingham County, Virginia on November 19, 1950, a son of the late Melvin B. and Clara (Caricofe) Cook.

Charlie was a member of Verona United Methodist Church and was involved in the church food pantry and the pedal pushers ministry.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Hise.

Charlie is survived by his son, Bryan S. Cook and his wife, Ashley of Verona; three brothers, Benjamin "Benny" Cook of Verona, Jerry Cook of Churchville, and David Cook of Stuarts Draft.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2022 in Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Pastor Shawna Hiner.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
