Ray Eugene Elder, Sr., 81 , husband of Nancy Lee (Greear) Elder of 31 Second Street passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. Elder was born on May 15, 1931 in West Virginia, a son of the late William and Margaret Elder.

Ray was a United States Navy veteran and was a retired computer operator with U.F.S.\u0026G. He liked to hunt, fish and had a strong work ethic.

In addition to his wife of eighteen years is a son, Ray E. Elder, Jr. and his wife Janet of Ocean City, MD; a daughter, Margaret Bailey of Baltimore, MD; three brothers, William Elder and Fay Elder both of WVA and Jay Elder of TN; two grandchildren; three step-daughters; five step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bill Johnson.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Burial will be private.
