Raven Michele Barkley, 40, of Churchville, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025 at her residence.

Ms. Barkley was born in Augusta, Georgia on April 24, 1985, a daughter of the late Penny (Bird) Stinnett.

Raven was a member of Redeeming Life Ministries and was an avid sportswoman in the Special Olympics.

In addition to her biological mother, Ms. Barkley was preceded in death by her adopted mother, Margaret (Bottenfield) Bird.

Surviving, is a her adopted father, Paul Q. Bird, Jr. of Churchville; sister, Jessica Barkley of Charlottesville; four uncles, Paul Bird, III (Tami), James Ramsey (Dolly), Matthew Bird (Christie), and Shawn Bird (Shelly); two aunts, Sherry Bird and Kathi Starks (Cliff); a niece; two nephews; a great-aunt, Mary Worth (Steve); a great-uncle, Bobby Bottenfield; and many dear cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor James Potter.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Redeeming Life Ministries, 144 Christians Creek Road, Staunton, VA 24401.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
