Ramona Gay (Burgandine) Lovegrove, 86, wife of Fred Lee Lovegrove, of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Brightview in Staunton.

Mrs. Lovegrove was born in Deerfield, Virginia on December 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Ernest G. Burgandine and Eleanor (Morris) Dula.

Ramona was a member of Memorial Baptist Church where she attended the Joy Sunday School Class. She held many secretarial positions, retiring from Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in April 1998.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lovegrove was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Dula.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of sixty-four years, is a daughter, Michelle (Lovegrove) McBryde and her husband Lee of Mt. Airy, Maryland; two grandchildren, Evan McBryde and his wife Breana, and Ethan McBryde and his wife Ashley; two great-grandchildren, Graham and Weston McBryde; a sister-in-law, Susan Dula; a brother-in-law, Pete Lovegrove and his wife Shirley; a number of nieces, and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022 in the Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by Pastor Todd Latham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Baptist Church, 224 Taylor Street, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
