Ralph Gerald Hise, 75, of Staunton, passed away on July 4, 2022 at his residence as his family lifted him up in music and song.

Mr. Hise was born in Hightown, Virginia on October 1, 1946, the son of the late Clarence W. Hise, Sr. and Lena (Halterman) Hise.

Ralph was a veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1966-1968. He worked for eighteen years at Smith's Transfer and many years at Riverbend Farms. He married Mary F. (Smith) Hise on November 28, 1974. Above all, he loved his children and his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter; two siblings, Shirley Culbert and Wilmer Hise; a grand-daughter, Serenity Hise; a brother-in-law, Harold Newman; and a nephew, Craig Puffenbarger.

Surviving, are four sons, Lance Hise, Luke Hise and his wife Valerie, Lee Hise, and Ben Hise; a daughter, Faith Smith and her husband Willie; a sister, Nancy Newman; a former daughter-in-law, Michelle Hise; five grandchildren, Evan, Logan and Brenna Hise, and Arianna and Alexis Sadler; two nieces, Vicki Newton and Crystal Hise; and a nephew, Jason Hise.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2022 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Minister George Taylor.
