Ralph Andrew Fretwell

RAPHINE:

Ralph Andrew Andy Fretwell, 61, of 9 Walters Lane, Raphine passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville.
Mr. Fretwell was born April 18, 1949 in Stuarts Draft, a son of the late Clyde Stanley and Evie Leona (Taylor) Fretwell.
Andy served faithfully and honorably in the United State Army for twenty-one years and during his service he received a Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal, Airborne Corps Artillery and numerous other medals. He worked in the maintenance department for Con-Agnor.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Fretwell was preceded in death by a brother, James D. Fretwell.
Survivors include a sister, Becky Collins of Raphine; special nieces and nephews, Sam Collins and his wife, Cherry and David Collins and his wife, Cindy; his special friends at South River Bar and Grill in Waynesboro and other family members also survive.
A Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Burial will be private.
He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
