Rachel Belver's Obituary
Rachel Anna (Stanley) Belver, 89, of the Stuarts Draft Retirement Community, widow of Carl Edward Belver, Jr. passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Belver was born on November 8, 1926 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late John C. and Amanda Beatrice (Coffman) Stanley.
Rachel was a lifelong member of the Stonewall United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Belver was preceded in death by a son, David Eugene Belver; three brothers, John, Charles and Paul Stanley and four sisters, Emma Andrews, Minnie Welcher, Mildred Wright and Frances Sutton.
Surviving is a brother, Lloyd A. Stanley and his wife Agnes of Staunton; a sister, Martha Loan of Waynesboro and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the Stonewall United Methodist Church by Pastor David Coffey.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Stonewall United Methodist Church, c/o Joyce Swisher, 204 Berry Farm Road, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, is in charge of her arrangements.
