(Cook) Truxell

Priscilla Jane (Cook) Truxell, 76, wife of Charles E. Truxell, of King Avenue, Waynesboro, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Truxell was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on July 5, 1945, a daughter of the late Samuel Daniel Cook, Jr. and Hazel Louise (Weaver) Cook.
Priscilla was a talented seamstress and sewed garments for many people in the community. She was the former owner of The Painted Cupboard Workshop in Staunton. More than anything, she loved her family and her favorite moments were in their company.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 59 years, is a son, Jeffrey Truxell; a daughter, Greta Kay Truxell; two brothers, Jerry Cook and wife Wanda, and Samuel Daniel (S.D) Cook, III and wife Barbara; two sisters, Joyce Hite and husband Homer and Frances Weaver and husband Daniel; four grandchildren, James Truxell, Lucas Moffett and wife Lindsay, Tristan Moffett and Sawyer Moffett; and four great-grandchildren, Clint Lowry, Dylan Truxell, Brantley Moffett and Mattis Moffett; as well as multiple cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Jessi Truxell, the late wife of grandson James Truxell.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Old Providence ARP Church Cemetery by Pastor Patrick Malphrus. Casual dress is welcome.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
