Obituary

Powell Ronald Ronnie Bostic, Sr., 74, husband of Letty Bostic of 184 Woodcliff Lane passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Bostic was born on September 3, 1942 in Lindside, West Virginia, a son of the late William Hugh and Winefred Thelma (Porterfield) Bostic.
Ronnie attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, he was a veteran of the United States Army and in 1999, he retired with thirty-three years of service as a technician with Verizon. He enjoyed pier fishing in Avon, N.C. with his friends, bowling, and while his children were small, he was active in coaching and attending their sporting events and activities.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bostic was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul R. Bostic and Aubrey Pete Bostic; and a nephew, James William Bostic.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-two years, is a son, Ronnie Bostic, Jr. and his wife Kim; a daughter, Kristol Wilkerson both of Staunton; three brothers, Jack P. Bostic of St. Albans, West Virginia, George H. Bostic and wife Robbie of Ronceverte, West Virginia and Robert G. Bostic and wife Judy of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Katelyn Wilkerson and fianc Willy Rowe, Jacob Wilkerson and Allyssa Bostic; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Wilkerson and Elena Rowe; a very special sister-in-law, Laura Bostic; two special brothers-in-law, Mario R. Moreno and Rene E. Moreno and wife Martha; and a number of nieces and nephews; and his pet dog, Pepa also survive.

A graveside service will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Thornrose Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by Father Joseph Wamala.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Parrish Hall.
