Phillip Emory Neff's Obituary

Phillip Emory Neff, 70, husband of Suzanne Neff of Barnhart Road, Fort Defiance, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Mr. Neff was born in Bath County, Virginia on September 14, 1951, a son of the late Beryl Glenwood Neff, Sr. and Ethel Mae (Bright) Neff.

Phillip worked in construction and was a volunteer at Stoney Creek Campground and the local Food Bank.  In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoyed watching westerns shows on television, especially Gunsmoke and Bonanza.  He loved his family, vacationing in Tennessee and playing with his dogs.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Neff was preceded in death by a brother, Beryl Glenwood Neff, Jr., a sister, Sharon McMillian, and a nephew, Ernie McMillian, III.

Surviving in addition to his wife of forty-seven years is a son, Glenwood Neff and special friend, Tina Dean; a brother, Danny Lee Neff; a sister, Karen Neff; two nephews, D.J. Neff and Beryl Neff, III; two nieces, Lisa Harman and Katherine Ralston; a special cousin, Betty Wade and his best friend and dog 'Cuddles'.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
