Peggy L. Martin
STAUNTON:
Peggy Lee (Detamore) Martin, 70, wife of Eugene M. Martin, of 521 Hull Street passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at her residence.
Peggy was born in Staunton on July 17, 1938, a daughter of the late Wayne and Gladys (Spriggle) Detamore.
Mrs. Martin was co-owner and operator of PM Trucking, LLC and spent many years working for Auto Dealerships, most recently Rules, in the Parts and Sales Departments. She bowled in the Staunton Bowling Leagues and enjoyed playing slow pitch softball with the Staunton Parks \u0026 Recreation Softball League.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by two step-sons; Bradley and Jeffrey Martin.
Surviving in addition to her husband to whom she was married for thirty-five years is a son, Phillip R. Ramsey of Staunton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Penny L. Crawford and her husband Abraham, II of Staunton, Cathy M. Hobbs and her husband Charles of Waynesboro; a step-son, Scott Martin of Stuarts Draft; a step-daughter, Lisa Neuendorf of Fenton, Michigan; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m.Saturday, (June 13, 2009) in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. William E. Robertson, Jr.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be private in the Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
