Peggy Marie (Fitzgerald) Clinedinst, 77, of Stuarts Draft passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Augusta Health in Fishersville after a brave and courageous battle with heart related conditions.
Ms. Clinedinst was born in Augusta County on August 31, 1935, a daughter of the late Howard Leonard and Ethel (Eavers) Fitzgerald.
Peggy graduated in 1967 from the licensed practical nursing program at Wilson Memorial High School. She had served as secretary of the state Licensed Practical Nurses Association and had been a faithful employee at Western State Hospital for 25 years. She was a lifetime member of Calvary United Methodist Church, taught Bible Study and started the Singles Group at church.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Clinedinst was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Fitzgerald.
Left to share her memory are two daughters, Debby Bond and her husband, Danny of North Charleston, SC. and Kathy Marie Dale and her special friend, George Sanderson of Stuarts Draft; two sons, Robert Daniel Danny Clinedinst and special friend, Lorna Saunders of Fishersville and Thomas Eugene Tom Clinedinst and his wife Jane of Emporia; a sister, Linda Cornelius and her husband Jeffrey of Stuarts Draft; seven grandchildren, Tonya Smith, Kimberly Shea, Emily Clinedinst, Stuart Clinedinst, Peggy Hoover, Forrest Bond and Bethany Hoy; seven great grandchildren, Richard Davis, Cody Davis, Valerie Hoy, Jeffrey Bond, Kelsey Hoover, Christopher Woody, Savannah Shea also survive.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Stuarts Draft by Rev. Doug Paysour and Rev. Sarah Locke.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Calvary United Methodist Church and other times at the home of her sister.
Active pallbearers will be her grandson, Stuart Clinedinst, great grandsons, Richard and Cody Davis, George Sanderson, David Hoover and David Fitzgerald.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Seekers Sunday School Class and Church Family.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
