Pauline Mae Brownie (Coffman) Strawderman, 73, wife of Kirby Strawderman, Sr. of 761 Howardsville Turnpike, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mrs. Strawderman was born on June 14, 1941 in Rockingham County, a daughter of the late Ralph Milton and Irene Eaton (Coffman) Abbey.
Pauline attended Fifth Street United Brethren Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed old TV shows including the Waltons and John Wayne movies as well as hunting mushrooms and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Strawderman was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Junior Hinkle and a sister, Patricia Cooper.
Surviving are two daughters, Rose M. Neff of Stuarts Draft with whom she made her home and Teresa E. Michael of Mt. Solon; three sons, Junior Ray Hinkle of Rockingham County, Kirby B. Strawderman, Jr. of Middlebrook and David P. Strawderman of Stuarts Draft; a sister, Kathleen Botto of Bay Town, Texas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Charles Carroll.
The family will receive friends following the service at the residence of James and Beverly Neff, 530 Betsy Bell Road in Staunton.
Burial will be private in Rankin Chapel Cemetery.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
