Patsy Jean (Bosserman) Blackburn, 74, widow of William Lee "Peanut" Blackburn, Jr. of Turkey Ridge Road, Greenville, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Blackburn was born in Augusta County, Virginia on January 11, 1947, a daughter of the late Willie Merlin Bosserman, Sr. and Ruby Cathleen (Smith) Bosserman.
Patsy formerly worked for Dominion Bank as a bank teller. Mrs. Blackburn was a member of the Elliott's Knob Fraternal Order of the Eagles # 680 and the Staunton Women of the Moose Chapter # 1439. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making all types of crafts, and was a supporter of drag racing at Eastside Speedway.
Surviving are two sons, Rory W. Cash of Fishersville and Gregory L. Cash and his wife Nancy of Stuarts Draft; a step-son, William Kevin Blackburn and his wife Carrie of Fishersville; two brothers, Alvin Bosserman of Churchville and Willie Bosserman, Jr. of West Augusta; three sisters, Della Griffin of Verona, Kathleen Smith and Brenda Smith both of Churchville; seven grandchildren, Christine, Amber, Megan, Courtney, Ariel, Cory, and Mathew; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 in the Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery by Reverend Dennis Paul.
