Patricia Ann Trish Herndon Whetzel, 58, wife of David Lee Whetzel of 3549 Middlebrook Village Road passed into Heaven Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in the Hospice House in Fishersville.
Mrs. Whetzel was born March 9, 1956 in Danville, a daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Robertson) Brown.
Trish was a LPN working for Western State Hospital and Augusta Health Hospice for several years. She enjoyed going for walks in the park to feed the ducks, going to creeks to listen to the water and loved caring for the elderly.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Michael Lee Whetzel Herndon both of Staunton; two step daughters, Kimberly Ann Whetzel of Montgomery, Al. and Sherry Renee Whetzel of Bridgewater; a step son, Michael Todd Whetzel of New Hope; a sister, Donna (Brown) Mayo of Fredericksburg, VA; and many close and special friends.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 in the Faith Point Christian Center in Waynesboro by Pastor Randall Black.
Burial will follow in the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in New Hope.
Active pallbearers will be her son, Michael Herndon, and Nathan Eye, Colin Fairbanks, Cody Swisher, David King and Levi Swisher.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
