Patricia Jean (Lowe) Ryder, 81, formerly of 1420 Waterwillow Drive, Midlothian, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009 in Loyalton of Staunton.
Mrs. Ryder was born on November 30, 1927 in Greensboro, NC, a daughter of the late Charles F. Lowe and Sarah L. (Turbiville) Lowe.
Patricia was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ryder was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harvey Brown Ryder; a daughter, Sara Jean Ryder and a sister, Ruth Sterling (Lowe) Butler.
Surviving Mrs. Ryder are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Ruth V. Morris and her husband Kenneth of Fishersville, Eileen Ryder, Linda Lee Gunther and her husband Larry and Carol B. Ryder all of Richmond.
A private service will be conducted in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Joseph C. Brandon. Entombment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park and Mausoleum.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the nursing staff and CNAs at Loyalton of Staunton for their loving compassion and care given to their mother.
