Patricia Louella "Pat" (Dickerhoof) Buchanan, 68, wife of Ricky H. Buchanan, Sr. of 401 Peach Street passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Buchanan was born on April 20, 1951 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Harris Edward and Helen Gertrude (Leslie) Dickerhoof.

Pat was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God, she taught Sunday school, was active in church while her health allowed and retired from Wal-Mart in 2016, where she was employed as a floor clerk.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Buchanan was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Kay Cox.

Surviving in addition to her husband of fifty-one years, is a son Ricky Buchanan, Jr. and his wife Lesley of New Hope; a daughter, Pamela S. Marcum and her husband James E. of Swoope; a sister, Elizabeth Altizer of Weyers Cave; two grandchildren, Carl William Shifflett, Jr. and Brandon Scott Shifflett; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2019 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2019 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Kevin Persinger.

Burial will follow in the Miller Memorial Cemetery in Augusta Springs.

Active pallbearers will be Carl William Shifflett, Jr., Brandon Scott Shifflett, Billy Sheppard, James Sheppard, Sam Stickler, and John Robertson.
