Patricia Lane Pat (Kiser) Cox, 73, wife of Joseph Joe Cox of 300 Churchville Ave, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Augusta Health, Fishersville.
Mrs. Cox was born on January 31, 1942 in Harrisonburg, a daughter of the late Albert A. and Rosie M. (Harris) Kiser.
Pat was a member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the church choir and the Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and flower arranging. Prior to opening the Buffalo Gap Florist, Mrs. Cox was employed by Westinghouse and Smiths Transfer as an office clerk.
In addition to her husband of 52 years, survivors include a son, Anthony D. Cox and his wife Becky of Mt. Solon; a step-mother, Judy Kiser of Staunton; a brother, Leroy Kiser and his wife Shelby of Staunton; a grandson, Christian Jacob Cox; two step-grandchildren, Mary Campbell and her husband Daniel Holloway and Heather Moats; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Cox and Edith Jackson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory or other times at the residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Charles McFarlin.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be James Wenger, Richard Homes, Hank Tucker, Homer Eustler, William Lobb, Leroy Carter and Kenny Gordon.
