Patricia De-Ann (Helmick) Shepard, 74, widow of Homer Lee Shepard, formerly of Staunton, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Augusta Nursing and Rehab in Fishersville.

Mrs. Shepard was born on July 23, 1942 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Albert C. and Eveline (Redifer) Helmick.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Shepard was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Jean Huffer.

Surviving is a son, John C. Shepard and his wife Jessica of Grottoes; two daughters, Kimberley D. Shepard and her fianc Freddie Lawhorne of Staunton and Pamela Davis and her husband Bradley of Elkton; four grandchildren, Courtney and Caleb Davis and Chloe and Emma Shepard; two brothers, Boyd C. Helmick and wife Jean and George T. Helmick all of Verona; and two sisters, Dorothy Jackson and husband Eddie and Carolyn Gilmer all of Staunton.

Burial will be in Parnassus United Methodist Church Cemetery.

All services will be private.
