Pamela J. Nessar
STAUNTON:
Pamela Jean Pam Nessar, 57, of 1002 Springhill Road passed away, Friday, October 14, 2011 at her residence.
Pam was born on December 19, 1953 in Wichita Falls, Texas the daughter of Mrs. Jean (Smith) Nessar and the late Fred Lee Nessar.
She was an active member of the Lighthouse Church in Swoope where she so dearly loved serving as a greeter and as a Teachers Helper in Sunday School with the children, a former member of the James S.A. Crawford Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and a 1973 graduate of VSDB. Pam was a very loving lady who enjoyed sharing and being around people. It was said of Pam, she never met a stranger.
In addition to her father, Pam was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Nessar; maternal grandparents, Roy and Virginia Smith and paternal grandparents, Hassan and Lila Nessar.
Surviving in addition to her mother of Staunton are three brothers who she so dearly loved and looked up to, D. Michael Mike Nessar and his wife Jane of Staunton, W. Kevin Nessar and his wife Terri of Verona and Daniel A. Nessar and his wife Hallie of Richmond; a close and special sister Peggy Kisamore of Churchville; two very special nephews, Kevin H. Nessar and Matthew M. Nessar; two great-nephews, Dylan H. Nessar and Noah H. Nessar who where the joy of her life; very close friends, Betty Miles and Tom Withers and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and many many special friends also survive.
A celebration of Pams life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in the Lighthouse Church in Swoope conducted by her Uncle and Pastor, Rev. Harold L. Wade.
Active pallbearers will be Matthew and Kevin H. Nessar, Troy and Eric Wade, Perry Grimm and David McDonaldson.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Lighthouse Church.
The family will receive friends this evening, Monday, October 17, 2011 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in the Coffman Funeral Home or the residence at other times.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Lighthouse Church, 5031 Morris Mill Road, Swoope, VA 24479.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
