Onie Ester (Cole) Morris 85, widow of James Allen Morris, Sr.
of 1108 Preston Drive, Staunton passed away December 31, 2010 at
Kings Daughters Community Health.
Mrs. Morris was born June 2, 1925 in Heath Springs, South Carolina, a daughter of the late William Palmer and Onie Mae (Bailey) Cole.
Onie attended Marquis Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker and a friend to many.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by two brothers, Elton and Tommy. two sisters, Millie and Laurie.
Survivors include a son James Allen Morris, Jr. of Staunton; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara J. Szabo and her husband Tivadar of Edmonton, Alberta Canada; two grandchildren, Erika Hunting and her husband James and Eva Szabo-Brandt and her husband Glen; two great grandchildren, Janelle and Julie Hunting; a number of In-laws and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 8, 2011in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Robert Sharp.
Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Mausoleum and Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Diane Winsboro, John Sorrells and Sharon and Al Kinchelo, the staff at Kings Daughters Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, especially to John Ruffo for the care given to Mrs. Morris during her illness.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
