Oneitta Mae (Byers) Cline, 89, widow of Glenn E. Cline of 123 Walnut Grove Drive, Verona passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Cline was born November 10, 1922 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Cleveland W. and Irene (Simmons) Byers.

Oneitta was a member of Lebanon Church of the Brethren where she taught primary Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She was also a member of the womens work group of the church and the Community XYZ group. Oneitta enjoyed gardening, sewing and baking.

In addition to Mrs. Clines husband and her parents she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ollie Mae (Cline) Byers; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Smith Byers and a step-son, Glenn G. Cline.

Survivors include a daughter, June Powers of Verona; two grandchildren, Matthew Powers and wife Anissa of Verona and Janet Knight and husband Chris of Waynesboro; a brother Orville G. Byers of Mount Sidney; three step-sons, Raymond Cline and wife Nancy of Staunton, J.H. Cline of South Boston, Charles Robert Cline and wife Ruby of Fishersville; four great grandchildren, Aiden and Marshall Powers and Kristin and Andrew Knight; twelve step-grandchildren, Scott Cline and wife Teresa, Martha Ramsey and husband James, J.H. Cline Jr., Sharon Tuck and husband Mike, Pat Turner and husband Larry, Terry Newcomb and husband Gordon, Gary Cline and wife Becky, David Cline and wife Loretta, Jimmy Cline, Sandra Carsten and husband Rick, Mamie Herold and husband Mike and Karen Lovegrove and husband Danny; numerous step-great grandchildren and three nieces also survive.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2012 in Lebanon Church of the Brethren by Pastors Garold W. Senger and Wayne Pence.

Burial will be private in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the home of her grandson, Matthew and Anissa Powers, 128 Walnut Grove Drive, Verona, Va.
