Norman Dale Welch's Obituary

Norman Dale Welch, 79, widower of Joyce Elaine (Biesendorfer) and formerly of Titusville, Florida, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009 in Envoy of Staunton.
Mr. Welch was born in St. Joseph, Missouri a son of the late Sidney and Naomi (Allison) Welch.
Norman was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Waynesboro and served in the Korean War. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force with 18 years of service and the U.S. Postal Service as a mail carrier. Mr. Welch enjoyed traveling in his RV; he enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time in the outdoors.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Welch was preceded in death by a brother, Sidney L. Welch and a sister, Luetta Welch.
Mr. Welch is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Dale Welch and his wife Sherry L. and David Arthur Welch and his wife Rachael D., all of Waynesboro; two sisters, Naomi Halstenberg and her husband Albert of Kansas City, Missouri and Bonny Ogle and her husband Ken of Phoenix, Arizona; four grandchildren, Cody R. and Casey R. Welch and Ashley N. and Christian D. Welch and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 in the Bethany Lutheran Church in Waynesboro by Pastor Tim Bohlmann.
Burial will be private prior to the service in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
