Nelson Boyd Weaver, 58, husband of Carolyn S. Weaver of 195 Quail Trail passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Weaver was born on April 26, 1958 in Waynesboro, a son of the late Lucille Helen Weaver.
Nelson was a member of the Cornerstone Church of Augusta and was employed by Cargill, Inc. where he worked in the warehouse. Nelson
enjoyed working on automobiles, doing lawn work , collecting eagles and singing gospel music.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Ann Henley.
Surviving in addition to his wife of nineteen years, are three step-sons,
Jamey L. Estep of Laguna Beach, California, Jonathan D. Estep and his wife Stephanie of Salem, Arkansas and Jason W. Estep of Broadway; two step-daughters, Lisa A. Hirsh and her husband Mike and Karen B. Wade and her husband Wesley all of Broadway; a sister, Carolyn Ann Rohr of Stuarts Draft; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Greg Mayo and Pastor David Sandy.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Jamey Estep, Mike Hirsh, Jason Estep, Wesley Wade, Jacob Carr, Caleb Wade, Michael Hirsh, Jr., Wyatt Strickler, Dalton Moats and Michael LaPrade.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
