Nathan Perry Crouch went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday July 29, 2022 at 11:37 p.m. in the arms of his beloved wife, Jen, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Nathan was born on September 8, 1946 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, a son of the late James Garland Crouch and Mildred Crouch of Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Also preceding him in death, is his brother, James Garland "Jimmy" Crouch Jr., his stepmother, Ellice B. Crouch, as well as his first wife, Shirley Crouch.
Nathan graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1965. He then entered the Armed Forces and proudly served in the United States Army. After his years of service, he went on to receive his bachelor ' s degree in History from Elon College. He then gave many years of work in the textile sales industry, before retiring in Staunton. Nathan was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church. In his free time Nathan could be found at home deep in a book, or on one of many golf courses.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny Knopp Crouch, of Staunton; his step-children Jacob Arbaugh of Staunton, Sarah Arbaugh of Austin, Texas, Wayne Clark, Jr. and his wife Gerri of Staunton, Sharon Moore and her husband Mitch of Stuarts Draft, Karen Vereen and her husband Russell of Pawley's Island, South Carolina, and Aaron Creech and Syble Creech of Taylors, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Mitch Moore, Jr., James Franklin Moore, III, Wade Clark, Jett Clark, and Madeline Creech; and two great-grandchildren, Kali Moore, and Mac Moore.
Services and a Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday August 6, 2022 at Memorial Baptist Church, 224 Taylor Street Staunton, Virginia 24401, by Pastor Todd Latham.
In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
Condolences and visits are welcome at the home of Jenny's sister, 184 Peterson Place, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
