Obituary

Naomi Gay (Wenger) Shephard Waybright, 84, widow of George Samuel Waybright, Sr. of Shutterlee Mill Road passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Waybright was born on February 8, 1932 in Deep Water, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Leonard C. and Maudie (Dolin) Wenger.
Naomi was a member of Linden Heights Baptist Church and the Golden Agers Church Group. She formerly worked for Smiths Transfer as a secretary for ten years and she enjoyed church activities, reading, and traveling.
In addition to her second husband and parents, Mrs. Waybright was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Rosencrance; and her first husband, Kester Shephard; and her infant son, Dennis Shephard.
Surviving is a daughter, Bonita K. Wine and her husband Scott of Waynesboro, and a step-daughter, Diana Cash and her husband Gary of Churchville; four sisters, Carma Domokos and husband Marty of Alabama, Nancy Prockiw and husband Orest of South Carolina, Linda Zambelli and
husband Bob of Maryland and Carolyn Simmons of West Virginia; three grandchildren, Andrew Lyman, Kayley Lyman and Will Wine; and step-grandchildren, Ashley Wine, Amanda Conner, Michelle Gregory, Tonya Eutsler and Kajun Waybright; eight step great-grandchildren; longtime friend, Hazel Hisey; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory or other times at the residence of her daughter, 22 Wine Farms Lane, Waynesboro.
A Celebration of life will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Linden Heights Baptist Church by Pastor Luke B. Smith.
Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 in the Arborvale Cemetery in Arborvale, West Virginia.
Active pallbearers will be Andrew Lyman, Kajun Waybright, Jeff Woodell, Doug Hall, Bob Chandler, Gary Brown, Roger Perry and Dale Humphreys.
It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the Linden Heights Baptist Church, 371 Linden Drive, Staunton, Virginia 24401.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
