Nancy Anne (Strasinger) Desper, 77, wife of Earl Thomas "Buddy" Desper, Jr. of 327 Sangers Lane, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Desper was born on April 21, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Howard and Anne (Williams) Strasinger.
Nancy was a member of Grace Bible Church, the VFW Post 2216 Ladies Auxiliary, and was retired after 21 years of service with Genicom. She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and Yahtzee.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Desper was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Anne (Desper) Greene, and a brother, Howard Strasinger.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 55 years, is a son, Thomas W. Tom Desper and his wife Diana of Staunton; two grandchildren, Hunter Desper and his wife Jessica and Tyler Desper and his fiance Jennifer Whitecotton; and two great-grandchildren, Liam and Finnegan Desper also survive.
Mrs. Desper was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A Celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Roy Trump.
Burial will follow in the Shenandoah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Hunter Desper, Tyler Desper, Terry Desper, Benny Desper, Randy Desper and Kevin Botkin.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of her arrangements.
