Nancy Elizabeth (Masincupp) Campbell, 90, formerly of Granary Street, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 in Churchville.
Mrs. Campbell was born on August 15, 1927 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Augustus Armistead and Bertha Elizabeth (McCauley) Masincupp.
Nancy was a member of the Verona United Methodist Church and she retired from Westinghouse / McQuay in 1986 with twenty-six years of service. Nancy is most remembered for getting in her car and driving just anywhere she wanted to go.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her first husband, James Samuel Powers; a son, Daniel Lee Powers; her second husband, James R. Campbell; a son-in-law, George Bunch; four brothers, Russell, Joe, Pete and Gus Masincupp; five sisters, Leola Clayton, Ardelia Shell, Mildred Hall, Isabell Edwards and Jane Crosby.
Mrs. Campbell was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving is a daughter, Judy Elizabeth (Powers) Curry and her husband William Ervine, Jr. of Churchville; a step-daughter, Terry Bunch of Staunton; three grandchildren, William E. Curry, III, Cherish Dawn (Curry) Humphries, and Andy Bunch; five great grandchildren, William E. Curry, IV, Marshall W. Curry, Dakota P. Humphries, Austin Bunch, and Kamden Bunch; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Rev. Edward C. Pruitt.
Active pallbearers will be John H. Curry, William E. Curry, III, Kirk P. Humphries, Andy Bunch, Dennis Masincupp and Wayne Masincupp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cherish Humphries, William E. Curry, IV, Marshall W. Curry, Dakota P. Humphries, Austin Bunch and Kamden Bunch.
The family will receive friends following the service at the residence of her granddaughter, Cherish Humphries.
