Nancy Louise (Back) Dietz, 83, widow of Edward Charles Dietz, Jr., of 107 Community Way passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Dietz was born August 28, 1933 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Paul A. and Elizabeth (Collins) Back.
Nancy was retired from Kings Daughters Hospital as a Ward Secretary and Switchboard operator and she was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #13. Mrs. Dietz enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and playing video games.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dietz was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Rankin and her special pet dogs, Cocoa and Digger.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include a son, Charles Jeffery Jeff Dietz and wife Tammy Whisman-Dietz; two daughters, Deborah D. Stone and Sharon D. Viglione and husband Mark all of Staunton; four grandchildren, Brian Viglione, Megan Brown, Samantha Stone and Amanda Stone; four great grandchildren, Davey Hamrick, Ryan Cooley, Mason Brown and Margo Harris; an aunt, Mrs. Ruth Booth; special friend, Anna Baker; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Chaplain Mark Westebee.
