Myrtle Frances (Pultz) Butler, 100, widow of John Horace Butler, Sr. of Orchard Road, passed away, Monday, June 3, 2013 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Butler was born March 31, 1913 in Vesuvius, a daughter of the late John and Phoebe Jane (Clark) Pultz.
Myrtle was a member of the Shenandoah Shiloh Christian Center. She retired from Genesco-L-Grief after forty-five years on the presser line. She had a wonderful work ethic in all her accomplishments and she enjoyed yard work and gardening.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Lee Butler and nine siblings.
Mrs. Butler was the last surviving member of her family.
Surviving is a son, John Horace Butler, Jr. and his wife, June of Stanardsville; a daughter, Pat Free of Staunton; eleven grandchildren, Gloria Dee (Butler) Graves, Angie Butler, Carol (Butler) Burns, Brian Butler, Jason Butler, Shelby Taylor, Donna (Butler) Clifton, Gail (Butler) Lawhorne, Sherry (Butler) Swecker, Jonathan Butler and Troy Stephenson and their spouses; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren also survive.
A Memorial Service will be conducted 6:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013 in Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Daniel V. Darrikhuma.
The family will receive friends following the service.
A private burial will be conducted at Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
