Obituary

Myrtha Virginia "Jean" Kelley, 85, of 505 Marble Valley Road, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at her residence.
Ms. Kelley was born on October 12, 1932 in Deerfield, a daughter of the late Ernest Noah and Myrtha (Fink) Kelley.
Jean was a member of the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church, she retired from Genesco Company with forty years of service as a seamstress, and she volunteered at the Augusta County Deerfield Library Station. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Kelley was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest U. Kelley and Lloyd Kelley; and a sister, Laverne Lovegrove.
Surviving is a daughter, J. Denise Kelley and her companion, Douglas Phillips of Deerfield; four sisters, Necia Mongold of Waynesboro, Louise Graybeal of Renick, WV, Elsie Botkin of Staunton, and Sandra Steele of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
There will be no public viewing.
A Graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in the Deerfield Community Cemetery by Pastor Claude Williams.
