Mildred Irene (Shull) Danis, 84, widow of Al Danis of 217 Circle Drive, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. Danis was born on July 16, 1934 in Staunton, a daughter of the late
L.R. and Virginia Mae (Cash) Shull.
Mildred attended Christ United Methodist Church, she retired from Verona Storage where she was employed as the office manager, and was a member of the Virginia Women's Bowling League. She enjoyed bowling, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and she was an avid Baltimore Orioles Baseball fan, especially Cal Ripkin.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Danis was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Shull; and a sister, Violet Campbell.
Mrs. Danis was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are two sons, Scott W. Rea and his wife Selena of Waynesboro and Jeffrey J. Rea and his wife Marvella of Staunton; four grandchildren, Jeremy Rea, Hope Rea, Jenna Rea, and James Rea; and a great-granddaughter, Katerina Rea Johnson.
A Graveside service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 in Augusta Memorial Park by Rev. Michael Fitzgerald.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
