Mildred Louise (Lucas) Casiday, 96, widow of Trenton Burwell "Hoppy" Casiday, formerly of Staunton, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 at the home of her daughter in Fishersville.

Mrs. Casiday was born on February 23, 1926 in Rockbridge Baths, Virginia, a daughter of the late Robert L. and Louise (Supinger) Lucas.

Mildred enjoyed being a homemaker.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Casiday was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Chloe Vint; a sister, Betty (Lucas) Dean; and a brother, Howard Lucas.

Mrs. Casiday is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip W. Casiday of Swoope and Bruce A. Casiday and his fiancée Sharon Marshall of Churchville; three daughters, Brenda C. Werner and husband Doug of Fishersville, Terry C. Mawyer and her husband Joe of Swoope, and Connie S. Wade of Staunton; four grandchildren, Derek, Natasha and husband Gary, Christopher and Matthew; four great grandchildren, William, Bentley, Addison and Leland.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, 201 Bel-Grene Drive, Fishersville, VA.

All services will be private.
