Mickey Wilson Roberts, 73, loving husband of Sheila Mae (Flickinger) Roberts of 2515 Bath Street passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Choice Health of Waynesboro.

Mr. Roberts was born in Staunton, Virginia on March 18, 1948, a son of the late Robert H. Roberts, Sr. and Helen Ruth (Fitzgerald) Roberts.

Mickey retired from Alsco Linen / National Linen. He was a member of the Verona Moose Lodge #2172 and Sons of American Veterans Post #511. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball and going fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Bobby" Roberts, Jr.; a sister, Ruby (Roberts) Hevener, and a nephew, H.C. Hevener.

Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-four years, is a son, Michael W. Roberts and his wife Cindy of Staunton; a sister, Linda Robertson and her husband Jerry of Staunton; two grandchildren, Kayla Guyer and her husband Richard and Bob Armstrong and his wife Nickie; six great-grandchildren, Richard "Howie" Guyer, Madison "Madi" Guyer, Cody Armstrong, Makaya Armstrong, Brayden Armstrong, and Logan Armstrong; and a special niece, Lisa (Roberts) Camden and her husband Jeff; a special nephew, Kaden "Waterboy" Holden; a special sister-in-law, Felita Sanchez; and special grand dog the monster, "Izzy".

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Henry D. Elsea, Jr.

The family will receive friends, anytime at the residence.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Staunton/Augusta Rescue Squad, 1601 North Augusta Street, Staunton, Virginia 24401.

The family would like to thank Lauren Gochenor with Augusta Health Foundation Hospice of the Shenandoah and the staff of Choice Health of Waynesboro for the wonderful care given to Mickey.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
