Michael LaShay Purnell, 5-week-old son of Alisha (Jackson) Dipietro of 1801 Churchville Avenue, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Dipietro and his maternal great-grandmother, Nelly J. Hays.
Surviving in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Christian Purnell and Lucas Dipietro, of Staunton; a maternal grandmother, Freida Hays of Staunton; a maternal grandfather, Donald W. Jackson of Waynesboro; and a maternal great-grandfather, Mark E. Hays of Staunton. A Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Kevin Persinger.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of his arrangements.
