Michael Arrington Loan, 51, of Hopeman West Apartments in Waynesboro passed away Friday, March 11, 2016.

Mr. Loan was born on July 29, 1964 in Pulaski, a son of Sandra (Wrenn) Loan and the late Hubert Arrington Loan.

Michael was employed at Federal Mogul of Blacksburg and was a versatile self-employed handyman. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, horseshoes, playing pool and golf. Mr. Loan was a loving father and provider for his son, Nathan.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Reidsville, NC and formerly of Waynesboro, is a son Nathan A. Loan of Waynesboro; a sister, Brenda (Loan) Price and her husband Tommy of Reidsville, NC; and a large extended family and friends also survive.

A Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Wray Sherman.

The family will receive friends following the service.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
