Meredith Ray Diehl, 72, of Stuarts Draft Highway, Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Diehl was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia on March 30, 1951, a son of the late Melvin Diehl and Edna (Simmers) Diehl.

Meredith was a veteran of the United States Army and was truck driver for over 15 years prior to working at McQuay. He enjoyed playing ball, hunting, fishing, playing golf, corn hole, and watching NASCAR. More than anything, he loved his girls.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Diehl was preceded in death by a daughter, Faith Meredith Diehl and a brother, William Lee Diehl.

Surviving, is a daughter, Tonia Marie Lunn and her husband, Daniel of Grottoes; a sister, Phyllis Ann Hensley of Grottoes; a brother, Kenneth Wayne Diehl and his wife, Delores of Mt. Crawford; a sister-in-law, Nancy Diehl; and special friends, Tammy, Daniel, Landon, and David Lightner.

Per his request, there will be no services.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his daughter's house, 605 Harriston Road, Grottoes, VA.

It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to Staunton Augusta VFW Post 2216, 212 Frontier Drive, Staunton VA 24401.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
