Melvin Lee Beverage, 75, husband of Nancy (Knott) Beverage of 152 Old Churchville Road, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Beverage was born on December 20, 1942 in Highland County, a son of the late Cyril Cloist and Lucy Catherine (Halterman) Beverage.
Melvin was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he retired in 2005 from McQuay as a machinist, and his hobbies were woodworking, fishing, golf and he enjoyed the outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Beverage was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy (Beverage) Hildebrand; and a brother, Harold Beverage.
Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty years, is a son, Robert L. Beverage and fiance Renee Campbell of Staunton; two grandchildren, Ashley Hildebrand and Nate Hildebrand; and a sister, Connie B. Widner and her husband Mike of Verona.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in Augusta Memorial Park in Waynesboro by Rev. William Bill Trice.
Active pallbearers will be Mark Beverage, Troy Perryman, Josh Widner, Tom Rankin, Chris Castello, and Donnie Knott.
