Maylee Scott Wilfong, 3, of Swoope, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 in the arms of her parents, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Maylee was born in Fishersville, Virginia on November 5, 2021, a daughter of Amber Lachelle Gregory and Chad Edward Wilfong.
Maylee was a joyful and vibrant little girl who loved music, singing, Minnie Mouse, and animals. She found happiness in playing outside and visiting the park. Her outgoing personality, bright smile, and infectious laugh brought joy to everyone around her.
Maylee was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Scott Gregory; maternal great-grandfathers, Roy Kyle and Bill Robinson; an uncle, Ben Curtis; and a great-uncle, Chad Kyle.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, is a sister, Madilyn Wilfong; maternal grandmother, Misty Kyle and Pawpaw, Michael Evelsizer of Waynesboro; two maternal great-grandmothers, Sandy Kyle and her companion, Jeffrey Flint and Jackie Robinson, all of Staunton; paternal grandparents, Melissa and Jamie Wilfong; paternal great-grandmother, Donna Hickman of Burnsville; paternal great-grandfather, Petie Hickman of Warm Springs; two aunts, Jayden Evelsizer and Taylor Swisher; an uncle, Wade Wilfong; two great-uncles, Troy Kyle and his companion, Becky Woodzell and J.R. Robinson; cousins, Kristen Crawford and Justin Kyle; many other cousins and friends; and Maylee's best friend and doggy, "Bentley".
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at St. Paul's Church by Pastor Theresa Moore. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be her father, Chad E. Wilfong, and Michael Evelsizer, Jeffrey Flint and Chris McElwee.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
