Matthew James Armstrong, 37, of Staunton, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Armstrong was born in Staunton, Virginia on November 9, 1983, a son of Ardella (Brock) Terry and the late Carl H. Armstrong, Jr.

Matthew was employed with Jenkins Automotive as assistant manager and enjoyed going to truck pulls.

Surviving in addition to his mother, is his step-father, Cecil Terry, IV; three children, Kaileigh, Autumn, and Austyn Armstrong; a sister, Jessica Miller and her husband, James; a niece and nephew, Carleigh and Jayden; and grandparents, Cecil Terry, III and his wife, Trudy; grandmother, Jessie Shuey and a number of uncles, aunts, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.

A Celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be David Fitzgerald, Daniel Crawford, J. T. Swearengin, Christopher Hipes, Joe Hipes, and Dustin Harter.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
