"Mat" Webb
January 17, 1992 – May 23, 2024
Mathew Donald "Mat" Webb, 32, husband of Skyler Lynn (Humphrey) Webb, of Greenville, lost his battle with cancer on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at his residence, and entered heaven's gate cancer free.
Mr. Webb was born in Winchester, Virginia on January 17, 1992, a son of Christopher Allen Webb and Jacklyn Ann "Jackie" (Meadows) Webb.
Mathew was a 2011 graduate of Riverheads High School and was most recently employed at Beverage Tractor as a mechanic. He was a member of Mountain View Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing at the Outer Banks, bear and deer hunting, and spending time with his wife, son and family.
Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gary Wayne Meadows, Sr. and his wife, Shirley; and an uncle, Gary Wayne Meadows, Jr.
Surviving, in addition to his father of Swoope, his mother of Waynesboro, and wife, is a son, Owen M. Webb; three brothers, Justin Webb (Brittany) of Middlebrook, Christopher Webb (Caitlin) of Buena Vista, and Alexander Vance "Alex" Webb of Swoope; his maternal grandmother, Donna E. Lutman and her husband, Robin; his father and mother-in-law, Edna "Lynn" and Will "Benton" McManaway of Greenville; father-in-law, Marty Humphrey and his wife, Linda of Staunton; brother-in-law, Corey McManaway; a number of cousins; a niece; a nephew; and his pet dog, "Remi".
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Steve Cline. The family will receive friends following the service.
The family would like to express a sincere "Thank You" to Dr. Rob Marsh and Associates, the UVA Cancer Center and Dr. Witt, and Legacy Hospice for the care and compassion show to Mat and his family.
