Mary Frances Waterfield, 56, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022.

She was the daughter of Emily G. and Ray L. Waterfield Sr.

Mary graduated from Princess Anne High School, Virginia Beach, before earning her associates degree.

Mary will be remembered as a caring and devoted daughter who cherished her time celebrating with her immediate and extended family. She loved taking her dog, Hollie, to the dog park, painting, studying, and listening to music. She was devoted to her bible, her faith, and working alongside her sister, Helen, giving back to those less fortunate.

Full of compassion and kindness, Mary was an amazing woman with a wonderful sense of humor and unique gift of making others feel good about themselves. Mary is survived by her sisters, Helen W. Foiles-Taylor (Douglas Taylor) and Diane W. Ensminger (late Mike Ensminger); her brothers, Frank E. (Bub) Waterfield and Ray E. Waterfield, Jr. (Ann Waterfield), 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 8 great-nieces and nephews and 2 golden retriever half-brothers.

Little Sister, I will miss you grievously.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2022 at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 North Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, in Mary's memory, may be made to either the Fredericksburg SPCA, 10819 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA. 22408 or Chesapeake Humane Society Adoption Center, 1149 New Mill Dr. Chesapeake, VA 23322.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
