STAUNTON:
Mary (Hipolito) Medeiros, 74, widow of George Medeiros
of 2520 Bath Street, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Envoy of Staunton.
Mrs. Medeiros was born October 7, 1938 in New Bedford, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph Francis and Helen (Ward) Hipolito.
Mary was retired from Wal-Mart where she worked as a cashier. She liked to play bingo, write poetry, visit parks and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Medeiros was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph F. Hipolito.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan M. Guffey-Burke of Staunton and Sharon E. Hackworth of Belvidere of NJ; a sister,
Judith A. Lenling of New Bedford, MA; four grandchildren, Melissa A. Hackworth, Kristin G. Trask, Sarah M. Berland and
Jeffrey M. Hackworth.
All services are private.
The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter, Susan at 2520 Bath Street, Apartment #1, Staunton.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
