Mary Catherine Meade's Obituary
Mary Catherine Meade, 86, widow of Sammie Aaron Meade, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Fishersville.
Mrs. Meade was born in Churchville on May 23, 1933, a daughter of the late
Ray Joseph Snyder and Hazel Virginia (Redifer) Staton.
Mary was a loving grandmother.
In addition to her parents and first husband, James Franklin Shaw, Sr., Mrs. Meade was preceded in death by a son, James Franklin Shaw, Jr.; a brother, Junior Snyder; and a sister, Francis Brandon.
Surviving are two daughters, Cathy Cason and Sandy Vicuna of Waynesboro; a brother, Jimmy Snyder; a sister, Charlotte Chandler and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Larry Strickler.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton, is in charge of her arrangements.
