Mary (Cote) Dennis's Obituary
Mary (Cote) Dennis, 91, widow of Lawrence E. Dennis, Jr., of Staunton, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Shenandoah Nursing Home in Fishersville.
Mrs. Dennis was born on November 25, 1927 in Springfield, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Aime and Blanche (Bouffard) Cote.
Mary was a member of St. Francis of Assisi in Staunton. She was a tax preparer and an executive secretary for several companies. Mary retired to Arizona with her husband in 1983, who served his country during World War II and the Korean War, in the United States Marine Corps and was a former school principal.
Surviving are her children, Bruce Dennis, Timothy Dennis, Jeanne Marie Archambault, and Rosemary Dennis; brother, James A. Cote; five grandchildren, Sarah Howard, Matthew Dennis, Mark Dennis, Steven Dennis, and Catherine Dennis; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at a later date, with interment in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Broad Brook, Connecticut.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Shenandoah Nursing Home for their care and attention to Mrs. Dennis.
