Mary Frances (Beverage) Quick Delahay, 58, devoted wife of J. Richard Dick Delahay of Glen Avenue passed away on July 14, 2010 at Johns Hopkins Hospital surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Delahay was born April 20, 1952 in Marlinton West Virginia a daughter of the late Cecil Albert Beverage and Myrtle Lucille Beverage Helms.
Mary owned her own business, Beck-N-Call, which specialized in catering to the needs of others. She graduated from Marlinton High School and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
The life of Mary Delahay was one of giving and love for her family, especially her grandchildren. They are affectionately known as the Delahay Dozen and they all loved her Big Much. Mary always tried to do for others before she did for herself. She loved spending time with her family, friends, scrapbooking, traveling and planning family reunions. She touched so many lives and will be missed by all.
Mourning the loss of "Maw Maw Van" are her devoted husband, J. Richard Delahay; daughter, Lori Quick Hudson and husband Mike of New Hope; two sons, K. Douglas Quick and wife Catherine of Durham, NC and Kevin C. Quick and wife Britta of Springfield, VA; step-children, Annette Williams of Waynesboro and Richard B. Delahay and wife Tina of New Hope; and twelve grandchildren and two nieces, Amanda Beverage and Triska Beverage, also survive.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the inspired and loving care from the staff at Johns Hopkins SICU and the entire Adult Liver Transplant team.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Chuck Davis. Burial will follow in the Thornrose Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
Active pallbearers will be Dustin Campbell, Frank Clarke, Allen Hensley, Reese Kiser, Wayne Morris, Ricky Delahay and Christian Quick.
