Mary Patricia (Bigley) Spradlin, 67, loving wife of Robert L. Spradlin of 121 Howard Street, Staunton, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Spradlin was born March 31, 1943 in Washington, D.C. a daughter of the late Robert Daniel and Mary Jane (Gavin) Bigley.
She retired in 1999 from the Western State Hospital as a nurse, she enjoyed riding with her husband on their motorcycle, she enjoyed watching football and was an avid NASCAR fan. Her favorite race driver was Rusty Wallace.
In addition to her husband to whom she married on September 5, 1961 survivors include a son, Robert Keith Spradlin of Craigsville; a daughter, Kathleen E. Spradlin-Cubbage of Timberville; six grandchildren, Brian K. Spradlin, Crystal G. Spradlin, Heather R. Frazier, Courtney M. Frazier, D.Daniel Frazier and Katelynn E. Cubbage. Mrs. Spradlin in also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be Russell, Grover and Johnny Spradlin, Daniel and Douglas Frazier and Ian King.
The family will receive friends this evening from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Coffman Funeral Home \u0026 Crematory.
Funeral services for Mrs. Spradlin will be private in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastors Allen Lenker and Michael Herring.
Burial will follow in the Thornrose Cemetery.
